Digital camera price/quality
"I agree with you - scanners are nothing nowdays, but even then, you can get digital cameras for virtually the same price now, at least over here in the UK."
Sure, you can get a "cheapie" digital camera, but I'm picky about my quality, photograph being one of my hobbies. I'm holding out for 35mm quality, which calls for 5 megapixels or above. Those digital cameras are still in the US$400 and up range. When a 5 megapixel camera gets down into the $200 range, then I'll go for it. Inthe mantime, I'll stick with film and just have the pics put on CD when developed. In concession to the digital world, I only pics on CD and negatives now when I develop film. I figure if I really need a print, I can either print it myself, ot take the negatives/CD to photo place and have a print made. Cuts down the price of processing. Ultimately I'll probably have a "point & shoot" digital camera of around 3 megapixels, and a 5 megapixel or above SLR
