New Products Hitting The UK Detergent Market

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Aha, I see the ole Persil vs Ariel debate lives on!

Each to his own, says I.

Am amazed that Persil Small and Mighty STILL hasn't hit the shelves of Tesco in Chelmsford. I want some!

In terms of new UK products, anyone try the new tweaked Fairy powder or the new `orange' Fairy Softener?

`As for the current Ariel Biological Powder: I think it smells flaming awful!' Oh Yeah.

THERES MORE!!!!

More new lines....... its maniac! expect a revapm of the detergent section of your local Tesco!

WOW First things first.

Tesco Finest Laundry Range
To include

on to the regular stuff.

Tesco own label washing machine cleaner with a pic of a Bendix on the front.

A NEW BRAND OF POWDER

Daisy????? Daisy True Colours..... the packaging seems very French. For some reason it reminds me of some boxes I saw in France circa 1994. although only 1 French brand sticks out that I remember and thats Coral.
This is a big box colour powder but seems cheap and probably will be on a low price tag.

Tesco own label Premium Oxy Stain remover for coloureds.

Premium Oxy for Whites

"Naturally" tablets and powders in non bio and bio to add to the liquid variety and the current FS.
the E3 size box of naturally powder states it will do 16 loads.
compared to the regular own label E3s that do 10.

"Naturally" ironing waters and sprays like the finest ones above.
and also room fresheners in pump spray bottles.

Naturally DW tabs
Rinse Aid etc

cant think of anymore ive seen, so muh stuff to remember! but keeping my eyes peeled il let you know what to expect in the next 3 weeks or so.

RollsRapide

Radiant is an Australian detergent of which Mattywashboy sent me some earlier this year.

There are many variations for TL's but this is ther only one they make for Automatics.

Strangely it dosnt contain bleach but isnt marketed as specifically colour care. and does a wonderful job on whites.

Very retro/vintage smell of which I would describe as Grated Fairy Green soap mixed the Radion colour and something else.

Ver little foam in the wash and rinses out in 2 low level rinses even in my Hottie!

New Cleaning Products

I have been switched on to the amazing powers of Indesit Company Limescale & Detergant Remover. It cleans and brigtens all machines and can be used in dishwashers too. It helps to get rid of that funny damp smell from your machine it is top quality stuff!! Any one else had the pleasure of using it on their appliances?

Well hello, Meileman. I use Indesit company Limescale and detergent remover and it is indeed a very good product.

Can't wait to try the new Fairy FS Spoodles, but will be unable to use on family wash as son is allergic to every PG softener :-(

Nick, thanks so much for keeping us informed as to what's hitting the shelves. It's just so frustrating that we seem to get everything so late down here. Still no s+m, for example!

Am looking forwards to the Tesco finest range of Laundry detergent and hoping it's Henkel! The standard DW tabs are, so there' a glimmer of hope I guess.

We DO have the reformulated Tesco bleach and I'm not happy, the previous one was non bio and almost scent free, the current one is bio and stinks so it's a no no for baby washes. It's really hard to get scent free bleach powder these days which measn I will not be able to use small and mighty non bio on whites and will have to stick to boring old tablets.

Have been using non bio powder for the last few weeks and it's good stuff, but the Zanussi leaves clumps of it UNDER the drawer which then gradually wash down during the rinses. I've also noticed the towels are much harder than usual, maybe because of the lack of phosphates. And I really like the Ariel non bio powder scent these days but Luke is still allergic :-(

Am glad Surcare FS is back - like that one, maybe we'll get it down here sometime........

Take care all

I take it Tesco Finest FS is their take on Comfort Creme? Sainsbury's and Asda also do their own version of it too (no doubt all are made by McBride).

My local Tesco has totally revamped it's detergent aisle. It's all nicely arranged by Bio/Colour/non-Bio etc... looks much better and LOTS of new products too.

I noticed a new range of Tesco liquitabs, now in tubs of 20 and they look identical to Sainsbury's Perform liquitabs - which I think are made by Henkel(?) They look much better than the old style ones in the flimsy tub that often appeared to have leaked in the tubs when I saw them on the shelves!

They have also launched the full range of Ecover products too - instead of the odd one or two they had before.

Sneak Preview!

Heres some of the new Finest range of laundry products.

Apologies, I feel like i have told fibs.... they ar'nt branded under Finest like I thought they were, I just took the black packaging and mis read it - easy done when you see items like this everyday you take packaging for granted. Anyway its a premium/luxury range all the same.

I was in a store in South Manchester, they didn't have the FS or the sprays (just spaces where they will be) but did have the delicates liquid and "naturally" sprays and ironing water and the whole detergent section was completely re-done too!

I had some relatives that lived in Gatley, and her daughter lived in Styal.... not the prison lol.
Previously they were in Bollington rich gits lol....

Tesco detergents

I was in my local Tesco, and noticed that they sell a very basic version of their 'Value'-style dishwasher tablets. A box of 30, for about £1.79.

I also noticed Tesco dishwasher powder (now called "Clean 'n' Fresh"???) is now sold in bigger 'canisters'.

I'm somewhat intrigued about the "Finish Rinse-aid" you mentioned earlier on in your post. Any idea when it goes on general sale?

I also think that packs of Finish tablets, and Fairy activebursts are hellishly pricey!

Cool Spoodles!

Rolls, the Value DW tabs are very popular here but personally I wouldnt be seen dead buying them.
Call me a snob but I dont trust them.

We have the Rinse aid on sale here because I merchandised it myself when it came in but it depends store to store who merchandises what etc.

Clean and Fresh is actually a completely seperate brand Tesco are tapping into. you usually find this prouduct in cheapie stores like "Home and Bargain" and "Savers" and its made by Robert McBride who also make own label supermarket detergents.
They label up lots of stuff as CandF.
usually 99p a box washing powder etc.

Tesco DW powder will still be in Tesco labelled 1 kg bottles but this is just a bigger option for families etc.

Inspiration...

Very impressed with the new lines Tesco are introducing I have to say. Thought I'd make a few purchases along the branded line first of all though ready for my new machine arriving at the back end of next week. New washer...new detergent! A matching set (if you like!)
