Haven't seen any of those yet, but it takes a long time for things to reach the east coast. At Family Dollar earlier today noticed Gain Floral Fusion powder and Fab Tahitian Summer Splash or something like that - interesting that the only two Fab powders were that and Rain Forest. Took a quick sniff of the Fab Tahitian and was nearly overcome. Yikes...don't want to imagine what the laundry would smell like.

The Gain Floral Fusion didn't seem too bad in the box, but was hesitant to try it as it was a bit strong and I have found that the Gain scent tends to build up in the laundry over time, Back to my older stash of Fab and the regular scent Tide w/Bleach.

Snuggle Green, Orange in 32 oz/40 ld bottles.

I have tried the Surf powder with Baking Soda. Bi-Lo and Harris Teeter here in Charlotte got it about 6 weeks ago. Seems to do a nice job, not very sudsy, leaves the washer smelling great and the baking soda does seem to be effective, but it doesn't leave much if any scent in the laundry.

The Tide Sport is the first Tide I have smelled in a long time that does smell good.

I just saw a bottle of Arm & Hammer 3x in the "naturals" flavor at the laundromat. Wonder if it is the same as the Power Gel.

~The joys of being metric

THANKS!

LOL. Now THAT was a dirtly little trick for those of us still adjusting to metrics!

Believe it or not, this site has made me vastly more comfortable with metrics, after all, it is really my only exposure to it!

[LOL I'm still not 100% conviced that 22* to 25* is room temperature, but that is another story!]

The Netherlands was one of the first countries to go metric, but I have never seen the contents of a bottle stated in cm3. Is that a South American speciality?

Also, I am a bit older than Louis and I was taught in school that room temperature was 16°C. My teacher told me that when he was young a municipal officer came round to measure the temperature to see that no coal was wasted on excessive heating!

Louis, I have no idea but I keep my rooms at a comfortable 25°C :-)

(I know that many people find that a bit too warm)

These days here, they reccomend 19degC in Winter and 25degC in summer.

We normally settle on 22degC all year round. Warm enough in Winter and cool enough in Summer

Maybe in Brisbane...

....but not in Canberra...

...though much depends on who you work for.

ANZ Bank used to have room temperature in their 'SR' (standing regulations) as 18c in winter and 21c in summer....and lord help anyone who played with the thermostats!

.
winter:

at home 70*F / 21*C
night 64*F / 18*C
at work 60*F / 15.5*C
vacation 50*F / 10*C

summer:
at home 77*F / 25*C
at work 80*F / 27*C
vacation 90*F / 32*C

My inexpensive Lux brand clock-thermostat appears to have generated its own internal heat. From what I can tell, it kept the house 2*F / 1.8*C cooler than the setting.

Snuggle in 90's-style bottles.

I bought a 40 load bottle of Snuggle Green Burst, my longtime favorite. It's in the mid-late 90's style bottle. I prefer Green Burst over Blue Sparkle and Orange Rush, which smells like cold medication.

I guess Sun is out to grow the brands. But it seems like Sun is only interested in growing Snuggle, All & Surf in the US and Sunlight in Canada rather than focus on the value-oriented Sun or the premium Wisk. And they now also own the Sunlight US & Canada dish biz.

I also bought Arm & Hammer w/Oxi Clean Power Gel. It's thick, but not Excel Gel thick. Will try it on workpants and colors later this week.
