Cool - I think thats the range that was out before I got mine! Whats it like for balancing!? Mine was so bad that anyone who used it ended up hating lol! Most cycles ended up being much longer than planned because of the constant balancing issue!! Was a shame!

Richard, it can be a bit long winded at balancing, and once or twice it has come up with an error msg indicating you have to rebalance the load.On inspection there was not a noticable problem. That aside, it is a very good machine and very easy to operate.

Balanced spinning

It's crazy that some machines have this issue, trying to spin a load.

I can honestly say that the best machine that I have used is undoubtedly my Zanussi IZ16. It tumbles clockwise and anti-clockwise several times at varying speeds and duration, before it even imagines going into distribute speed. Then it does a very short, slow spin, to get most of the water out. After that it does its balancing act again, then proceeds properly into the stepped spin profile. It seems to be a well thought-out sequence.

Some of the worst 'movers and shakers' that I have seen are the machines that go from the final rinse into distribute speed, then spin, without properly tumbling back and forth. My Mum's Bosch seems to have this issue.

Rolls! Do you have a pic of your IZ? I've just missed out on one because i stalled because of the price of it, ideally i wanted to sell the hotpoint first. Can't beat that spin pattern plus the soft suspension really does cut out alot of the vibration!
