Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Have worked on the slimline cabinets, mainly the plastic tank version. Servis uk had some great ideas, and some drawbacks. I have worked on the 300 & 600 versions too, I seem to remember a lot of similar components with Hoover parts on that generation. My former bosses used to work for Servis as engineers for Essex and east London. They lived & breathed those machines lol

Oh and how could I forget the hitachi quartz / sapphire hybrid, I preferred this to the normal Servis machines

will be interesting to see what the new models recieve

myself and a few others on facebook have written to servis today and found out a bit about the new range, they really sound promising, apparently they will have twin jets, anti allergy rinsing, and a quick 60c cycle which can be done in 1 hour.
what do you lot think of this, will be interesting to find out.

Ouch on those prices! £350 plus for a servis? Have they not checked their brand history in the last 10 years lol

Every where seem's to have silly prices for new washers at the moment but as Chestermike was saying in another thread, goods cannot be in a sale until they have remained at one price for 28 days. Stores can then slap a sale sticker on and drop the price, giving the illusion of a good deal.

Reminds me...

...of INDESIT machines... The style of the door - I swear I've seen before... What a pity that there isn't yet any further information on their new range of white goods...

They remind me of a cross between the Russell Hobbs machines (featured in a post a few months ago with the so called 12 minute wash) and Beko machines. The options buttons do look very Beko to me. Good to see Argos providing plenty of info, including noise levels, however 48l of water for an 8kg load seems very low. My machine uses 47l for 6kg ( more if I select 3 rinses ). Have been back and looked at these machines online a few times and I must say there is something about these machines I just don't like. Maybe I was expecting great things after reading the Servis website.

Vestel machines have hit our shores in many guises...
Baumatic
Next
Servis (before becoming part of Vestel)
Swan
Russell Hobbs
White Knight
Tesco Value
Isis
Celcus
Whirlpool
Bush
Haus
And of course the Electra name, and more besides these. Too many to remember lol.
I just hope they realise they can give Beko a run for the money in the dryer sector.
