Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Servis

Personally i think they look really cheap & nasty, actually bloody awful looking. I did not think that the Servis name could get any worse than when Antonio Merloni took over the once great original Servis name, but they look even worse than the Easiwash & Gem series washers. It wont be long till them high prices come crashing down to about £169.99

Maybe so, however they remain to be more serviceable than the last machines of AM. I think Vestel will do better with the Servis brand, for a start parts will be available. One of the largest c*ck up's by AM was the lack of parts.

If a part was in production and had not yet been fitted, then great you can have it, if not you were out of luck. They had no parts distribution to speak of, and what with the reliability not being great in the first year, didn't help any of the AM brands or customers.

Indifferent....

I don't dislike them, but nor do i think 'wow i want one' either. They're pretty inoffensive looking. Seem pretty expensive for what is (to those outside of the trade) an unproven brand.

If they definately have replaceable/accesible bearings then i'd give one a whirl - the prices are ok if you can replace parts at a reasonable cost when/if they fail, as it prolongs the length of service of your initial investment.

However, if they have sealed tubs & expensive spares then i'll go knowhere near - if i want something i'll throw away after a couple of years i'd get Beko or Indesit for under £200 & pocket the other £200 to put towards a Holiday!
