That is ingenious! I wish I had thought of that packaging. Less waste.Easier recycling. All around win. I hope it helps keep the price down too! Go P&G!

Yes - I agree it seems like a good way to cut down plastic waste.  Only P&G with an already trusted brand like Tide could get away with it though...you would try a new detergent in cut-rate packaging like that?

 

Of course I only use the Tide powder so mine is already a cardboard box!

But-----Cardboard boxes increase tree consumption-unless the carton is made from recycled board and paper.We need to get AWAY from disposable packages!

Tide Eco Box

I actually see this as a good idea. Less water, plastic, and diesel in the entire process. If I recal correctly P$G uses recycled post consumer cardboard to manufacture Tide powder boxes and likely this one too. By using less plastic and heavily recycling cardboard we can reduce overal impact just a bit more. I actually will applaud them for this move. Now the design does remind me of a wine box. But it would never be in the fridge so that isn’t an issue.
