Creasing

I was worried about spinning creases into my king flannel sheets by spinning them in the Miele at 1400 rpm, but I dry them one in each dryer and they dry beautifully wrinkle free in 30 minutes. It's surprising that the KA and GE dryers take the same amount of time when set to "Normal in the electronic dry cycle. Because I don't have to worry about catching the water, I often catch loads in the SQ FL after one or two intermediate spins then stop the machine and take out the wetter fabrics and make the transfer because the wetter fabrics pack down tighter for super extraction. I realize that the spin speed is not as great as in the spinner, but I was pleasantly surprised, nevertheless.

Britains Most Popular Spin Dryer ...

The Creda spin dryer was introduced here in 1957 and revolutionised monday washday drying with many housewifes using wringer washing machines or none at all, within a few minutes light weight fabrics could be ironed straight from the spinner , cotton clothing and towels would be significantly drier and really cut down drying times for all fabrics .

Heres our resident Darren (slowspin66) taking his Creda for a run , spinning at 2,800 rpm with a belt driven brush motor.

Frigidaire Spin Dryer

Our very own Frigidaire UK had a great range of spin dryers as well , like the Creda they had a cast iron cradle which the drum and cabinet where all bolted to. Very sturdy, again using a small brush motor being belt drive spinning at 2,800 rpm.
These really lasted well and many still exist today . Heres Jon Jetcone testing them out!!

really neat spin drier!!!

hello launderess, I love your new laundry room addition. I have a panda spin drier that has worked of me for about 10 years now.I have actually spun out a single blanket in that little machine and had it come out almost dry!!! I would like to get one like yours in the future though, they are a bit pricey but obviously well worth the money seeing the great quality. congrats, the drycleaner

Oh sweet mystery of life at last I've found you....

It's a keeper!

Did bit of hand laundry this morning so decided to give newest addition to family a go. Pair of jeans and some cotton jumpers.

Jeans went first and was that well pleased! Other spin dryer makes a racket, bounces about and otherwise misbehaves at first. Normally takes a few stop, redistribute, start again, stop, redistribute... until things go smoothly. Not this time! Thomas spin dryer was smooth as silk. No unbalance issues, and was done and dusted in about two minutes.

Four cotton knit jumpers came next with same results, everything was go right out of the gate. Perfectly balanced and almost whisper quiet.

This looks like the beginning of a beautiful friendship!

Spin Dryer

I have the Laundry Alternative Ninja. I can attest that these machines do reduce drying time quite a bit. Especially jeans. Wrinkles are not much of an issue for me when using it.

Combo52, I do agree that luging 3 small loads around and waiting for them to be spun out is a pain! Though, I don't mind much.
