High Temperatures?

Everytime I read that in a UK thread I wonder what on earth??? Condensers, at least in Germany do not run at "high" temperatures.
Has anyone actually go thermostat specs proving they are much warmer than conventional dryers?
I think it more likely that they run quite a bit longer than do exhaust dryers and for this reason the clothes come out feeling warmer.
I just can not imagine a dryer with "delicate" or even "permanent-press/synthetic" settings running "hot".

My discussions with Miele

Indicate that the Miele Condensor dryers run at about 50degC whereas most vented dryers over here run at 40-42degC

That said, my new Miele condensor dryer even on low heat shrivels up anything synthentic. I now have lots of expensive underpants and socks that now have elastic like a scrunchie. The other thing I've found with a condensor dryer vs a vented dryer, is that Knit fabrics, like tshirts, tend to shrink badly, whereas in a vented dryer the shrinkage was much less slight.

I'm very dismayed that Miele didnt tell me about the 30 day return policy on dryers when I bought it, as I would've returned it and bought an F&P TL dryer instead. So I now have my early 70's whirlpool dryer stacked on top and put all synthetic items in it, leaving the Miele to dry the non synthetics.

Not really "hot". By any index.
However, the problem is easily solved - just have the thermostat (whether mechanical button) or (calibrated diode/resistor) swapped out.
Funny, neither my ancient Mielen nor my "Matura" (AEG) nor my current AEG have ever shrunk or damaged anything. All three were MOL at the time I bought them.
I am not doubting you, I just don't understand it. And 50° is by no means warm enough to explain the damage.
(50°C =122°F)

A hundred and 122 degress F??? That's even cooler than my Whirlpool gas dryer on delicate! The commercial Dexter dryer at work runs at 185 degrees F!! The towels that come out of it are like sand paper!

Wow...

Now ive had a chance to put it through its paces I have to say the difference in performance compared with the 2000 model Creda is replaced is astounding!- not only does it take at least 15 mins off the dry time for a full load, it also collects maybe twice as much water!.

A load consisting of 2 pretty thick bathmats, one large bath sheet, couple of white tops and a single bedding set spun @ 1200 in the Insight was done in under 1hr 20. Thats at least 15 mins less than the Creda!

That tallies very well with my AEG which, when I bought it, was one of the "least slow" of the condensers. I use the water (through a Mellita coffe filter, first) for my steam iron and cleaning - it is effectively de-ionized.
What do you use your's for?

I have to admit it normally goes down the drain, maybe I will rinse the bath with it if ive just got out tho!. I have a filter jug for drinking water and the iron is filled from that .

Another thing I forgot to mention im really impressed with is the lint filtration- its far better than the Creda as well!!
