I stopped at a sale this morning and brought home a whole bunch of new, never used goodies today. All of the laundry stuff is new except for 1/2 bottle of Final Touch and 1/2 bottle of Miracle White! We're all going to be smelling deliciously vintage at the September Wash-In/ Vac Convention!

A bottle of Fresh Start with perhaps 4 of those 21 washes left in it sat atop the broken-down dresser that held the laundry stuff on top of it and the tools in it at my Grandmother's house for years. I couldn't remember what it is until now. Is it still made?

What fun!

Hi Greg, You take the Presto back, I have one already in your pile of things at my home when you come! You will love that Coffee Pot, so stylish and it makes great coffee-Superfast!

Presto Memories

It seems everyone remembers that percolator, as do I. This one is from 1970 but that style was around for a long time I think. My mother had one that as a small child I was completely enthralled with. When we moved from Moorhead, MN back to Nebraska in 1969, I insisted on holding that coffee pot on my lap in the car - the whole way.

Fresh Start

You can still get a version of detergent branded Fresh Start, but it's made by another company now. Our local grocery carries it and I keep it on hand. The vintage version - I think this bottle is from the early 80's - smells much better and is loaded with 17.5% phosphates!

What wonderful finds again Greg!! I do think Omaha has to be one of the very best places for estate sales!! Fred, you are correct that Presto perk is the same as our Hoover's. My mom had the same pot, with the Sears name on it. They do make great coffee and fast!!

Liquid All

Fabulous finds Greg! The liquid All is by far my favorite of your haul. How does it smell???? Vintage liquid detergent generally retains its original scent better than powdered detergent.

Nifty finds, how many percs are you up to now? I try to resist the urge to buy them but usually fail. The most common one I see is the GE pot belly. My moms still works and she got it in the early 50's, it was discontinued in the 60's or 70's then GE re-introduced it in the mid 80's or just before the B&D buyout. Looked the same but about half the weight of the original which means be careful buying a GE potbelly on Ebay, you may be getting a re-issue.

I use a white 1964 Presto perc as my daily "driver". Makes 12 cups in 10 minutes, you can't beat that fresh perked flavor.

Thanks for the information Pete, I had no idea that GE had brought the pot-belly out a second time. I am currently using one of the two I have for my daily fix! It makes great coffee and the re-heat cycle is handy. I'm wondering if the second time they brought these out if it had a "mini" basket like many of the GE perks had?

WOW! Greg........

Very nice finds! I would love to get my hands on a bottle of vintage Final Touch. Lucky you! =)) The Presto percolator looks mint! You will love the coffee it makes. I have a Sunbeam coffeemaster electric perc from 1968. It brews the coffee quickly and comes out pipin hot..
enjoy.............
