There is also an InfiniteCare dryer drum. Looks like the one on the washer but its drum vanes extend over the air inlet at the back of the drum so air is blown into them and over the laundry.
Poor they are not avaible in Germany yet. Even though the quality will probably the same (is there a word for worse then worst case?), I would like to get a Whirlpool heatpump dryer with that drum...
so far has been well worth the money, I am quite impressed at being able to dry more items that high temperature dryers prevented, granted it takes a little longer but its nice things are no longer baked dry and what needs ironing is so much easier to do.
The current F&P front load machines are Haier...they may well have been designed by F&P, but they are made in China and sold as Haier everywhere else.
The original F&P machines were a Beko AND a Bauknecht....The Bauknecht ones had issues and were discontinued with Beko machines continuing in several capacities
Beko supplied F&P right up until the last few months. They're good machines. Use a reasonable amount of water and have a good range of programmes.
My mother has a Beko supplied F&P machine...it replaced an ASEA Cylinda 12000 which she loved for 20 years, but the Beko is better in many ways...certainly quieter!
Never, ever underestimate a manufacturer and their ability to change, particularly the Chinese.
Beko weren't the best of quality and then they bought Blomberg.....
Maytag was renowned for good quality, and then look what happened to them....
You can add Hoover, Hotpoint (though apparently improving) and Zanussi to that list of previous better quality machines that are now owned by others and where the quality has been removed to a degree or two.
