NEW: Whirlpool Steam Dryer

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Electrolux - Iron Aid

Someone from the U.K. mentioned it here before but I thought I'd bring it up again.

Electrolux already sells a steam dryer. It's a condenser dryer that uses it's own condensed water to fill a little steam generator. User's manual and a brochure are online - in German. I attached the GER brochure, since neither aeg.co.uk nor electrolux.co.uk feature this dryer - for whatever reason(?)

The Dryer

Specs

- 6 kilo capacity / 108 liters drum volume (3.81 cu.ft.)

- large LC display
- steam generator
- 2 motors (drum, fan) to control drum movement during wool & silk cycles
- drum light
- two-stage lint filtration
- reversing drum
- Surround Moisture Sensing (uses the entire drum so sense the moisture level)
- all steam cycles have an extra long Wrinkle Guard at the end
- 43.3 cm drum opening
- stainless steel drum
- newly shaped drum paddles

Cycles

5 cycles with steam, 8 without; Wool cycle, Silk cycle, timed cycle. Each dryness level can be fine-tuned. Steam cycles can process up to 6 shirts in 25 minutes.

Here's the commercial from Turkey:

The steam generator holds up to 1.3 liters / 0.34 gal. of water. The dryer comes with a small container that also includes a filter: you just pour the water from the main water tank (that holds the condensed water from the drying cycle) into this other container and then into the steam generator. The steamer holds enough water for 4 to 10 steaming cycles. A little symbol on the LC display tells you when it's time to refill.

There's no additional water line needed.
