Newbie with some questions on a Lady Kenmore Dryer

I ran across this site while trying to find some info on my Lady Kenmore dryer.I just replaced it yesterday because I thought it was messed up, but I found out there is nothing wrong with it, the air vent was blocked shut and making it run hot.Too bad I did'nt notice it before I ordered a new dryer, I would have saved alot of money.

My questions are:

1.How do you find out what year this dryer was made? I think it was made in 1967.It looks like the picture of the 67 Lady K that is listed on this site, except mine is white.

2.Is this dryer worth keeping or should I sell it to someone? What would be a good price for it? I still have the instruction books that came with it.

3.Where do you find parts for something this old? Seems like everytime I have to buy something for it, they always have a replacement part that does'nt fit exactly right.

If you post a model and serial number, we'll be able to for sure what year it was made from that.

1. On Kenmore's of this vintage the first two numbers after the 110 is the model year for example 110.6605703 would be a 66 model.

2.Value is something you have to decide on yourself. It is worth what a willing buyer wants to pay for it. This issue has been discussed here in a number of privious posts.

3.Most working parts should be available as this same basic design has been used since about 1964. Drum rollers, belt, Idler pulley, motor etc are all basically the same as current models. Timers and switches might be a problem if they ever go bad. Sears web site is a good place to look for these parts.

Lady K Dryer

If the dryer has nothing wrong with it, I personaly would keep it. The older models( like yours and mine) are better built and better machines than what are out now. Parts for them are available at Sears. If you really don't want it, and need to get rid of it, Im sure someone on here would grab it up in a heartbeat for the right price.

$100 for a dryer of this vintage may be a bit unralistic. Old Kenmore/Whirlpool dryers are still fairly common and dryers aren't desired as much as washers are. But there may be someone who needs one to complete a set or something. Good luck.
