I could!

Live like that VERY easily, If an old car was affordable I would have one too, up until gas got so high, I always drove 50s and 60s cars, I dont use a microwave now!!

Good!!

Good for you!!!! I like living this way. When I come home from work it is Glenn Miller time, very comfortable to relax.

I have had to date....

Since I started driving in 81, a 53 Plymouth, a 53 Imperial, 2 68 Plymouths,a 62 plymouth, a 67 Plymouth, a 72 Dodge Polara, a 65 Rambler Classic, a 63 Olds Starfire, a 65 98 LS, a 70 98 LS, a 61 Super 88, a 68 Galaxie, a 66 Fairlane...And on and on...in the 80s these were just old cars, I wish I had a few of them back, many were 1 owner low mileage, I drove the 67 Fury 3 4 door hardtop 6 years.

Packard

We had a '49 Packard. It was painted dark gray on the top and lighter gray for the body. The wheels were painted red. Looked really good and my folks drove it like there was no tomorrow.

'40s sighting . . .

Today I was on the Ventura freeway going through the Valley when I spied a glorious '46 or '47 Cadillac sedanette coupe in the number 3 lane. I moved over to get a better look: it was black and shiny but not overly so, correct wheelcovers, overall it looked to be in very nice original condition. It was moving right along with traffic, driven by a very nice looking woman in her 30s with a big smile on her face, can't say I blame her!
