Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

I've really had "wringer washer" fever the past few weeks. Don't know why....but if I lived in Seattle, I'd be very tempted. And talk about longevity---just think of how many years of service you'd get from that gleaming beauty!

WOW is right!

You hear about these finds. A brand new, still in the box wringer washer. I've never been that lucky but some guys have all the luck. Hasn't Geoff Delp come across something like 6 of these? LOL

BUT! $800.00 is a lot of money and there's no guarantee this will operate problem free, out of the box. Even without use, or especially without use, sometimes the seals and gaskets dry out and you may have serious leaks when you fill her up. It's easy enough to re-gasket everything but it's a lot of work on top of an $800.00 price tag. Even if it were the TOL E2LP as opposed to the BOL N2LP.

I just realized there is no "S" so this is older that the foot pedal safety wringer so this must be what? Prior to 1968?

Still, a GREAT find!

Another Unearthed Treasure.

I never really liked the round one, but that's me. The square tub and the square lid permanently attached always got me good--hooked for life. (But I do love the Blue Bell.)

No matter, this is a real and rare surprise.

Frigilux, check out the 1950 GE Wringer thread. You must be catching the wringer virus which is more widespread than previously known. I'd love to see the tests you'd conduct like stain removal and water retention after wringing, etc.

We are all a product of our upbringing and the decade in which we came of age, but for me there is no such thing as a true, classic, vintage washer man who does not appreciate the wringer, the origin of our species. LOL. But, again, that's just me, always a sense of sorrow for those who haven't known the joy of wringer washing. Frigilux, come aboard!

New MT Wringer Washer

$800 is a good price for this washer NIB, if these were still in production they would cost as least this much, they were over $500 in 1984 when MT quit building them. I dough that there would be much to worry about buying and using this washer even thought it has been sitting in a box for over 25 years. Interestingly I never thought that MT wringer Washers were even as durable as most [ better, MT, KM, WP and even GE ] automatic washers in the last 25 years they were built. They had lots of problems with transmission seals both top and bottom and the water pump was no where as good as the plastic water pumps used in automatic washers.

It's gone !

It will be so exciting and surprising to see who snagged the gleaming beauty.

Good for you, whoever you may be.
