Listing has been up for a while.
Probably too pricey? But maybe they'd negotiate at this point.
They sure are purdy.

That's like a 60 series pair.  smaller capacity, not even a dual action agitator, will be even rougher on fabrics. Vintage 1986-1989.

Hi Bob,

Thanks for the information.
I was sorry to hear that you had a negative experience with your Kenmore.
I'm not really in a position to bring a vintage washer or pair into the home right at the moment.
But, I want to eventually, and I'm just trying to figure out what I'll want when the time is right.
I grew up with Whirlpools, so I've always been fond of them.
Then, through this site, I discovered that Whirlpool made Kenmores for Sears.
Sears also was a big part of my youth, so I thought maybe Kenmore would cover both of those bases.
Then, I started hearing about people's bad experiences with them. Not just yourself...it seems the term "Shredmore" inevitably pops up wherever Kenmore washers are mentioned.
I guess I'll just have to keep doing more homework before deciding on something.

A WP or KM model with 3-speed motor and separate speed control solves the concern, allows setting the speed independent of the timer cycle such that one can run a 14-min wash at low and/or ex-low speed (or 16 mins in the case of some WPs).
