Beautiful machines. This belongs in the Imperial Section

I loved these machines. This was back in the day when KitchenAid offered 1. Built-ins, 2. Built-in sink units, 3. Convertible Front Loaders, 4. Front Loaders and 5. Top Loaders.
This looks like it's of the last of its kind. It has the offset lower rack and the 3 tiered wash system that didn't comed along until the late 70's. We had the built-in version of this machine: the Patrician.

Hobart Happenings

But they didn't add the middle wash arm until 1976,calling it the Load As You Like system, also that silly e-bay ad said the normal cycle was only 20 min.long, instead of the 1 hr.17 minutes it really was.A very nice dishwasher though.

My Regency

I don't know what year mine is, but I have learned it can't have anything other than plates or flat objects in the bottom rack on mine, as it does not have the top rack spray arm. Mine works o.k. if loaded properly, except the main wash detergent door does not open, I have to manually work it. The one shown has the non heated dry option and the upper spray arm, and should be a great dishwasher. Model number is KDR-67

Regency

Scott,

I think that is the exact model that I had also. The wash arm was only below the bottom rack. The top rack was adjustable up and down, but not the pins. It did a great job of washing and drying.

Yeah, wish I still had it.
