Dime a Dozen?

Are these worth anything? How about the earlier ones with blueish print around the dial (that likes to wear off) and a smaller form factor? I swear I'm seeing both of these designs in droves lately. Spotted a pair today that had the glass background for the flourescent light which is neat, but the styling has always left something to be desired in my head. Just curious-

I normally shy away from the BOL's like the 108,208,etc.Still see lots of em,usually at $5.00 or less.The better models,like the 408,608 808,I'll still pick up for the right price.
