Help Support :

wow is right

These are great washers and just about any repair man can fix these, they didn't change much even 'till the 80s. I'd go for them myself but I've got two I use every day. These baby's are doing 2-3 loads every day and loving it. If anyone is in the area and at all interested and wants more info let me know. Also, if no one is interested lets save them, maybe I can get them if no one else wants them.

Holy schit Todd! Let us know how it goes! I may have to take a drive up there with a fellow AW member so we can see what other interesting items are lurking in that guy's shop.

Met the owner of the shop a few years ago to purchase a chrome drip pan for my 1948 Wedgewood gas range. He mentioned that he used to have an appliance shop in San Francisco's Glen Park area which I remembered when I shopped in the area near my home. There were used washers, dryers, refrigerators outside on the sidewalk as I recalled. His shop now in Sonoma has an extensive collection of Wedgewood gas ranges for sale.

Well, I'm still heading down to pick up those lovely Kenmores! He said he will let me check out other stuff in his warehouse. He says he has a 1958 Kenmore washer as well, which will look beautiful in our house that was built in 1958! Will take lots of pics and will save whatever I can afford!

WP Agitators

This is the first Kenmore I've seen with the agitator straight out of Whirlpool. It actually has a "W" instead of "K" on the top.

Well, I'm now the proud owner of what appears to be a 1953 Kenmore washer & dryer. The cabinets are in great condition, just need to be repainted. The washer agitator and tub are impeccable, the dryer is electric (110) and is so cute! Will be posting pics soon!
