I dropped by a local appliance wholesaler today to check out their refrigerators. This company specializes in returns and scratch and dent specials. I found some nice Fisher & Paykel french door models, some Kitchenaids and Whirlpools, etc. I couldn’t help noticing a big La Cornue range on a shipping pallet. It’s a nice blue color and I thought I’d share it here for those range fanatics. BTW, it is heavily marked down, although one could hardly call it cheap . . .

For $40,000 I'd settle for an oven window.

To each his own, I guess!

Massive, fancy or expensive equipment does not an impression make.

Knowing how to use ordinary equipment does.

My yiayia's (grandmother's) apt in Queens, NYC had the shi**iest old Royal Rose gas cooker with legs and a fold-down top. No thermostat either; and the meals she could pump out!

Well said Toggle. Many of us can turn out wonderful meals on a $400 Kenmore, whilst others struggle to boil water with much grander "toys".

Don't fret about what it is... it's not available in the US & Canada anyways....the teppan-yaki that is, whatever it is. I think for $60 grand you ought to get a timer and a self-cleaning oven
