NO H8 CAMPAIGN

A few short months back, my supervisor at work asked me if I would appear with her pregnant daughter; (now five months along)at a NO H8 event. Being the super Mother/Grandmother that she is, she is making every effort to see her children are raised w/o prejudices.

Well, I was not only pleased to be asked; but felt honored that the request actually came from her DAUGHTER! I thought WOW, HOW COOL IS THAT!

So today while at work,I received a message from my supervisor (via mobile phone) that the shoot is going to be in Hollywood, Ca. this Sunday; April 25, and to please get my shift covered (I normally work Sundays)!!!

I'm not from CA

and don't mean to sound like an idiot, but what is NO H8? Is this a bill that would outlaw Gays and lesbians from getting legally married in CA? I hope someone can go.

John, NoH8 is a silent photo protest against Prop 8, which rebanned same sex marriage in California, however since then it's spread internationally as a protest against anti-gay marriage laws in general.

St Louis has a NoH8 group and had various photo shoots the past 2 months, one of which I partook in and is my profile picture. John Elkins, the photographer, had a gallery showing 2 weeks ago of all the participants, including St. Louis mayor Francis Slay.
