I have a 2013 Haier top loader and since I bought it I have noticed in makes a creaking noise on the wash cycle, kind of sounds like a building that is about to collapse, its not loud but after 2 or 3 loads of laundry it gets progressively worse and starts to annoy me. It does this because the agitator going back and forth makes the outer tub move side to side the way the suspension is just hung off the top of the washer. I Sprayed 1 of the hooks/brackets where it connects at the bottom of the tub but it made it worse. Any suggestions on how to get it to stop doing this?

WD-40 is not a lubricant, it is a degreaser. The only thing I use to lubricate with it are door hinges.

You need to re-lubricate those points with proper machine oil. Sewing machine oil will work. Or you can lubricate with proper thick grease.

Perhaps one of the other forum members would have a better suggestion?

Grease

if it is a case of metal springs hanging on plastic you want a thick silicon based grease for that as Qualin says WD-40 is not suitable for this type of job, sewing machine oil is alittle thin aswell, you will need to clean off the WD-40 before applying.
Motor shops sell spray silicon greases or plumbers silicon lubricating grease
