Norge Dryer with Window

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

I don't know what I missed...

Wow, look how you open the door just slightly! Is the window plexi-glass?

And all those other appliances, too--including the washer!

What was I doing in the womb for all those years after my parents met, that I didn't come out until I did?

I had to watch the advertisement twice then the movie played. The first time I hit the full screen button at the end of the commercial and the screen went dark. I waited a bit then hit the button to leave full screen. It did, then started all over again. I left it until the movie started playing and THEN went to the scene and then full screen.

Anyway....

Yes, very cool set. Were they actually that quiet with just a low, soothing rumble or was that sound engineering at work?

I agree with Dave; there's so much more than just the awesome dryers. I've always liked the design/style of the late 60's. I think of it a 'space age with a human touch', lol ... still very sleek but softened around the edges. Good lord, I even noticed the woman's dress in the next scene in the study... Same thing: it looked sleek but still comfortable. But I daresay the study actually had a bit TOO much dark wood...

Sorry for rambling. Today's a late day for me; I'm still working on my first cup of coffee...

I have a kitchen/bath/laundry room remodeling book--with a Norge washer & dryer set like that (although no windows on the dryer door or even the washer lid) and there are big round behind-glass timer dials for each appliance even...

I noticed when she opened the dryer door that it hit the "stop" position as for the hamper door to add an item.  I've never used one of these dryers with the three-way door, did you hold the button in for the door to be released all the way down to the shelf and then all the way (180 degrees) to lay on the front of the machine?

Now I want one!  lol

Greg, as I remember from the day I terrorized the appliance department with the noise, it just is opened further with additional downward pressure on the door. The positions are all in the hinges, like the broil stop in an electric range's oven door. It made a really loud snapping/cracking noise when it went from shelf position to the almost broken down to the point of being snapped off for the basket-loading position.

PS. I guess when the door switch breaks in one of these models and the user opens the door to the "chute" position with the motor running, it sort of shoots the dry things up and out in a vomiting fashion.
