A friend relies on me for appliance repair and moral support---we've replaced her disposer, etc etc. So when she said "the dryer's rumbling, will you help me have a look" I replied "sure".
Maytag Performa from about 24 years ago, so likely the Norge design. She'd replaced the washer a couple years ago. Front came off reasonably easily to see the drum support wheel rattling (bearing had come loose from the Delrin wheel). Repair kit available from Amazon, so ordered. Went back out when she got it; kit was not as shown on the illustration (no support wheels in package). Had to deal with the local appliance repair (which of course is close to our house, not hers.
New wheel installed---good as new for $40!
