Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Aloha? I don't think so.

I'd wager it's doomed.  Too big for most situations even if it were free.  They'll have to pay to get it hauled away.

It’s worth something but if it’s non working they should consider lowering the price to $50. Can’t stand those kind of market place and Craigslist sellers who want a ridiculous amount of money for something that’s non working.

Marketplace and CL sellers...

Sean; I too hate it when something is being held hostage by an "I know what I've got!" seller with an unreasonable price.  That will be the same individual who scoffs at all reasonable offers received over a period of 2 years, and then scraps the item because "I'm tired of low-ballers and time wasters, so I'm scrapping it!"

Had one of them in the town where I live.  Had a GE Flat Top "ready to restore" they were trying to sell for $300. Had been off and on Craigs List for at least 4 years. Drove by their place one day and it was out by the curb for county bulk waste pickup. Called in a favor and had a friend rescue it before the claw truck got it.

Next day I contacted them about the (still active) CL ad and offered them $500 for it since it reminded me of my grandma's fridge! Their response? "We just sold it for $1000, sorry!" I about died laughing!

Sincerely,

David

Did you really leave those turds thinking they got by with that lie? Like Kenny stated I would have called their bluff and sent them a picture of it. Pretty good bet you wouldn't have heard back from them but at least those all around crappy individuals would have had the wind taken out of their sails. Not only by the fact it wasn't scrapped as they had decided but also because they were caught in their lie of having sold it for $1,000.

First vintage washer and dryer set I ever saw was a plane jane early 70’s Maytag A206 and DE306 and you would think they would only be asking $75 to $100 for the set but they instead were asking a whopping $800 for the set and claimed it was a rare 60’s Maytag set but they aren’t as rare since I’ve literally seen over a few dozen of those Maytags from the 60’s and 70’s pop up for sale here in the Southern California area. Something similar happened back in 2018 with a early 60’s Maytag Highlander set in coppertone and were asking $900 for the set and that’s why it took me awhile to find machines I really wanted.
