The motor on this machine is setup exactly like your machine.
But isn't it fascinating the difference in the snubber. I have 4 large snubbing plates on each corner of the machine, but I can't see the snubber on your machine, how does it snub? Does it just have the four springs??

You could be right about the skirt it may just be a dry shield. Robert is going to doctrine to see if there is any literature on this machine hopefully we will get some information to clarify what this machine is.

Glad you'all liked the videos!

Jon

Hi Jon, Yes, all my machine has is the four springs. No snubber setup at all. Your machines suspention setup looks a lot like the old Norge setup, but kind of a crossover between the old style and the newer style. Yours may even have the four springs also, under the shield. I bet the transmitions are the same in our machines. The transmitions in these are HUGE! About two or three times the size of a Maytag transmition. The bottom of the outer tub is cone shaped, and most of the trans is up inside the cone. You have to kind of look up under the outer tub to see it. Wish I had a better pixs to post of the trans. Borg Warner also manufactured manual transmitions for Ford Motor Company back in the day.

It will be very interesting to see exactly what is under that shield on your Norge. Hope Robert can come up with something on this.

My favorite Norges

My favorite of the Norges were the 1970's Fedders-Norges up to early 1980's pre-Maytag Magic Chef made washers(preferably Admirals)with the burp-up agitators.

Money Shot Peter

See threat 19023 OK guys & gals. There's a video of the washer running there too with a good panel shot. It's not slanted panel btw.

yes it sure does have a balance buzzer!

it is just out of the picture located on the lower left snubber! But the way these snubbers work I don't think it will ever hit the buzzer. It sure didn't when I had Artey's one dog blanket in the tub and the thing jumped into high spin.
Was just talking to John about this machine, he wants to play with it bad!
He tells me that the pressure switch on the spin solenoid is activated by air pressure from the spin solenoid to reset the fill level solenoid if I understand correctly, so it maybe that the spin solenoid is timer activated not pressure activated, I cannot be sure of either as the wiring diagram does not show the pressure switch located on the spin solenoid.

For a basic machine this Norge has stirred up some interesting puzzles and debate!

I will do its firs full load tonight from start to finish and post here. A real Bob Load® tonight!

The Wizard Imperial strikes again!!!!

Full of wonderment:

Failed to notice until Steve's post that this is indeed a three-vaner, something we have not seen. Yes?

WHEN did they speed up the agitation? Was the slow agitation typical of only the 4 paddle spanker?

There was a three vane agi in some of the wringer models. The one I saw around 1966, was red.

Will you show the agitator in Full Monty for this evening's Oscar Performance?

Now Boys!

Yes I will give you the full monty on the agitator and the money shot on the control panel, but I got side tracked tonight sitting my God daughter so we did small load and she is 3 1/2 and has never seen a top loader before!

She roared with laughter at the suds splashing up her arm and over the top! She loved the water fall fill flume and all the bubbles it made and she loved the smell of the detergent! Somethings she doesn't get in her Speed Queen all sealed front loader!!
So I will have to do the Bob Load later in the week, sorry guys, uncle duty came first tonight.
