The hair dryer attachment went on the front of the door opening! I've seen an ad or a picture of the attachment - it covered the door opening and the air blown through the drum went into that hose/pipe and up to the bonnet. This is looks like a hard plastic affair, the other one I saw was a flexible hose and elastic bonnet. With the handy drop down door, you never have to be far from your dryer.
"Everytime I dry my hair this way, I get a headache...I wonder why?"
The Tidie Dryer was a Ronco product. A (very) small, tabletop dryer for gloves and panties and things. Came with a hood you could attach to dry your hair. One of the stupidest inventions I'd ever seen.
But this Norge thing. Yow. You'd think that if they were going to give it a hair dryer attachment, they'd have put some kind of port *right in the door* instead of making some big huge thing that fits in the door opening.
But I want more pictures of this unique multitasker! Anyone? This is just too cool to let drop!
One of my aunt's had a Dispensomat washer like the POD of a few weeks ago. Apparantly they had alot of trouble with it because it got replaced by a washer similar to todays POD but a more bottom of the line machine. Same Norge backsplash with the waves on the glass, same cycle knob but no buttons above, just a switch for 3 wash/rinse temps. It had the burp up filter with a solid tub and a big ass agitator!! I think it had 2 speeds and 2 cycles with a timed fill. I serviced an old Norge gas dryer from this era quite a while back and was surprised to find out it had a spring wound timer, not electrically run. First time I had seen anything like that on an "automatic" dryer!!!!!
I'm not sure about 100% sure about this particular model, but it wouldn't surprise me if the lint filter was located on the front of the dryer, near the floor and behind a drop down access panel. That's were the filter on my aunt's Norge Time Line dryer was located.
JerseyMike, you are correct about the lint filter location. That was where it was on our 1952 and 1964 Norges. I don't believe the location changed until the design that came with the big 7.0 cu. ft. dryer for 18 lb. washes.
