There is a product called "goof-off" That removes paint. It is not as hot as paint remover, but it would be wise to do a very small test area to make sure it doesn't damage the surface if it is plastic especially. A few applications of it and the paint usually rubs off pretty good. Don't rub too hard as that action can marr the surface too. Might even use a Q-tip on just the small spots.
