Hello all I really love my Norge washer.. recently I discovered that as it fills its leaking water. I did some investigating and I found out that it was leaking in the back water. I thought it was the hoses but when I looked underneath it was a silver part I believe it’s a solenoid or a water inlet valve. Can anyone help me hear what I have to do to fix this? Also, I’ve been noticing a humming noise as it’s filling up is leaking more hot water than cold also as it’s agitating and going into spend, I hear a lot of squeaking as if the belt needs to be tightened other than that it washes in spins like a champ. Any suggestions a part anyone in the Western New York area close by that can help with servicing.

Hi Paul, it looks like you need a new inlet valve

These are still widely available and easy to change, the one in your machine looks like one of the singer valves and they were known for not being that great but of course it’s quite old so it can die if it wants to., It’s quite easy to change Just two screws for wires and the hoses of course to disconnect and reconnect.

Norge washer leaking

Hello all I did get "one" response regarding my leak on the THANK you Combo 52. Any other thoughts regarding the valve and the squeaking noise while in operation should I get new belt tighten pulleys ? Thank you for any advice or help. Be safe all :-)

Norge washer squealing noise

When does it make the squealing noise? Does it do adjustment spinning or when agitated or spinning?

If it’s only when spinning, it could be the main seal if it does all the time it could be the pump bearing, which is pretty easy to replace a pump on this washer.

If it’s the main water seal, you can turn the machine upside down and pour a little bit of light oil around the top of the transmission shaft and let it soak for a day or two sometimes that will stop the seal squeal.
