I noticed the same thing Glenn.   On our 1964 Norge, we could get 12 minutes on delicate if I wanted it.

I've seen this type of dial setup on another Norge on here somewhere and IRC the only difference is the wash/spin speed combinations between each cycle and perhaps different spray rinsing.

What I remember is-
COTTON/LINEN- REG. WASH, REG. SPIN
PERM.PRESS- REG. WASH, SLOW SPIN
KNITS & DELICATES- SLOW WASH, SLOW SPIN
