Yep, that's a Canuck dryer all right.  Probably made in Montreal, too!  

 

As far as I know, the Medallion line was only marketed in Canada by GE.  I'd have to guess this one is an early to mid-80s model - they dropped the two-tone dryer dial colours in the late 80s.

We're still using our late 80's Medallion 850 filter flow washer avec mini basket. There was one more model above it.. the 950 iirc.
