IIRC this was one of if not last shout of SQ wringer washers before production in USA ended.

SQ was last in USA market to sell wringer washers after Maytag called it quits.

That’s what I was thinking too. If I recall correctly, production ended not too long after Alliance bought out SQ in 1998. I also remember reading on here that after production ended, Alliance sold the tooling to a company in the Middle East, which (at least as of a few years ago) was still making and selling these machines under the Home Queen name.

That's neat! Expensive but neat! I just came across a NOS GE range in Brookfield wisconsin that's also out of my price range. I'll post it on here shortly.

I agree. It’s expensive, but IIRC, it’s still slightly cheaper than what the Home Queen models were going for a few years ago. By the way, I saw that GE stove you posted. Thanks for doing that! I always thought that model was one of the best looking 30 inch stoves anyone ever did.

SQ and that Saudi concern took much of the money out of those late model SQ wringer washers. People likely were better off finding a Maytag WW even if used.
