"Tragic"-mix filters
Those are still made and sold in Brazil.
Whirlpool (Brastemp) was silly enough to kill those washers but 3rd party companies still make spare parts.
That washer was an absurd success 1959-1989. When thinking of automatic washers, the only thing that until today would come on people's minds is a Brastemp.
Nowadays they have horrible machines, but people still buy them because they think it will be a "Brastemp".
Anyway, there are still MILLIONS of those BD washers in operation nowadays and people keep repairing them, replacing rusted cabinets, even doing some jackass repairs to make them keep running.
There are even some service centers specialized on those washers and they refuse to service anything other than bd Brastemps.
Bad news here, only the filter, transmission, motors and the agitators are compatible with Bd Whirlpools. Tub and drum are very different. The Brastemp agitator fits only the small capacity (way older) models. Two agitators were available in Brazil and they're still made: 3 straight vanes and surgilator (short version, not the one that has the 3 lips on bottom.)

Btw, idk why people love that machine. 99% of them are cold water only, add to the mix a silly 14 minute wash. The result is what I've seen my whole life... people in a laundry sink washing everything by hand before putting the clothes in the washer.
Or using a "tanquinho" to shred the clothes (and reuse the suds) and then only rinse and spin in a Brastemp.
