Below is a chart showing number of hits to automaticwasher.org. The July 2006 bar is only for this month from July 1 thru 24. I have a feeling that a lot more people than we realize are viewing the site on a daily basis.

What does these numbers mean? If you look at the bar for December 2005 its slightly above 2 million. That means that for the month of December, people from all over the world had come to the site for a total of over 2 million times and clicked buttons, each time someone click a button it takes them to a different page and it is registered as a hit. So far for July we are up over 3 million hits, that an average of 125,000 hits a day! I wonder who all is seeing us and will the trend continue?????

There alot more washer/appliance people out there than we can ever imagine.

Imagine someone seeing this site for the very first time thinking they were the "only one" that had a love for washers.

Wow, that is incredible! I agree with Jason, there are probably a LOT more washer fans lurking around here than we realize, except that they haven't come out of the appliance closet yet for one reason or another. They need to experience a wash-in in order to see how much fun this obsession really is!

And I wonder how many of the hits are generated by previously banned members? ;-)

LOL

Former member still lurking on this site

There is a guy who lurks on to washer.org but is no longer a member he says because Robert and him had a falling out but he wrote to Hooverland that he visits this site still on a regular bases

VCCC & washer.org Convention

Probably a lot more...

Think of some senior aged adults former repairmen/women that may not have a computer, I always figured there are basements crammed full of some of the more elusive parts and machines everyone is seeking. Is there a way to reach these people? I know you all hit the estate sales. Im thinking there are alot more out there that havent found this web site.just my 2cents alr2903.

I noticed a few days back, maybe a week

That the Pict of the day had been viewd 507 times. I usually
only view it once but occasionally two or more times in
a day (I might forget what it was and some one makes a reference to it.) That particular pod I had accendtially
clicked intending to go to disscuss-o-mat. I don't think I had ever seen that many hits on a pod, and I have checked
quite late at times to see if the next days is up yet.
Does the graphic take into consideration multiple hits
by same users; I'm definetly a multiple hitter!

ive noticed that search *automatic washer* or *vintage washer* on Google and AW.org is the top result. it hasnt always been the top result, i imagine. i worry about Roberts bandwidth (?) and storage, esp with all the picture threads that have sprouted.

I stumbled onto this site by accident about 4 yrs ago. Couldn't believe what I had found, because, I, too, thought I was the "only" one. Now I am among friends.....some I have chatted with in depth (toggleswitch and sactoteddybear). All are great people and I hope I get to know more of us.

That is wonderful news!! I am glad that so many people are able to enjoy this site, as we do. I too wonder how many will continue to "lurk" and how many will join with us.

If this is the case,

Please, Please, Please lets make arrangement in November or the 2nd week of December for this convention so I can set my vacation time around it!

Working for the City Of NY does not give out vacation time after the 2nd week of January to the month or week when you want it!!!!!!

Yes

Tom, anyone can see your profile, so don't give away personal information. I wouldn't even give away email but I leave it there so people here can email me.

For instance, I'd never write in my profile that I was placed in rural southwestern MN as part of the witness protection program because of undercover work I did in IL during the mid-80's. Stuff like that you should just keep to yourself.

This is simply the best site on the internet....with the best people to boot!! Thanks for all you do, Robert, to keep us all together and posting.

Witness Protection Program

Eugene, you just blew your cover - and that of the Agency using this site to communicate with our program particpants.

Be ready to leave your location in one hour, you may take only one suitcase and NO personal items that may identify you. You know the drill... This is the last time we will move you, blow your/our cover again and you will be on your own.

I know about the public profile thing (just Google your Applianceville "handle" and find out), but it doesn't really matter to me. Very few non-members have emailed me, and it's normally to ask some sort of technical question about a machine and of course I help them out.

"There is a guy who lurks on to washer.org but is no longer a member he says because Robert and him had a falling out but he wrote to Hooverland that he visits this site still on a regular bases."

I know who that is...he's VERY strange to say the least and probably isn't 100% complete "up there" judging by what he DID post when he was a member on here. I wasn't around when Robert banned him, but he got my email address and sent a few odd "looking for a friend" emails my way, which I deleted and then blocked his address.

With every club, there's bound to be psychos, both members AND lurkers.

That's so great to hear that there are so many lovers of vintage appliances out there!

I know I stumbled across this site a few years ago looking for information on Kelvinators. Ever since then I've been hooked!

Well, Its a good site and so much fun

A good group of people and lots of valuable information. Who wouldn't want to lurk? I did for awhile before I joined and had to quit internet last year as I had a lot of responsibility taking care of my late mother. But I am free to do whatever I want now, so I seldom miss more than a few days at a time.

Larry

Hey Larry,
Our Convention is always held in June usually from the 12th thru 15th I think. It ends the day before Father's day.
I just think that this would be so neat to merge both clubs into one because I have notice since joining washer.org, that We have some of our vac collectors that do collect washers and dryers, and dish washers etc, I have also notice that some of the washer and dryer collectors collect vacs as well.
