Help Support :

Steve I am glad that you are back home. I know what a difficult time you have been going through. Rhinnie is at peace and is happy, now it is time for you to take care of yourself as you know he would want you to. Just know that you continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. We'll talk soon. Terry

Dear Steve
Gary and I are so sorry to hear about Rhinnie's passing. We're glad we had the opportunity to know him and I will always remember that sparkle he had in his eye. I'm glad to hear that he just went to sleep and had an easy, painless passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Rich

There is nothing I can add except to say how sorry I am for you. I will keep you in my prayers. For whatever comfort it is , when our loved ones' time comes, it seems kinder for them to just go to sleep and not wake up. Harder on us perhaps since we don't get a chance to say goodbye, but....

Steve,

We should all have someone like you in our lives. I'm so very sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Mike

Obituary Notice

Reinhold C. Koenig (65) Beloved life partner to Steve, brother to Jeanette, Minnie, Lillie, Berthold and Andrew, and friend to all he met, passed on August 13th, 2006 peacefully in his sleep. He has left this world as we know it, his soul and spirit no longer needing the chalice we call the human body. Rhinnie has closed the mortal chapter of his existence with all its happiness, joy, trials, pain and suffering. His spirit waits for us to join him when it is our turn.

Meanwhile, as we wait our turn for eternal reward, you are invited to share a celebration for the time God shared Rhinnie with us. A memorial celebration will be celebrated on
Saturday, August 26th at his church,
MC Church of Our Redeemer
557 Greene St.
Augusta, GA
at 5 pm.
The church phone number is 706-722-6454. In lieu of flowers, please consider a gift in his memory, to the window restoration of his beloved church. God bless all.

My favorite passage of Scripture

Is Psalm 23. It is a humbling, yet comforting passage that lets you know that God is in control.

Written best and most beautifully (of course) in the King James translation.

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul:
he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil:
for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:
thou anointest my head with oil;
my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life
and I (Rhinnie) will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

Mine too Jason

The 23rd Psalm is a great comfort, although i have yet to meet you, steve keep your chin up. Like most all here I have offered up, my thoughts in prayer, sure hope your getting along, as well as you can. Was thankful to see this update.
respectfully arthur

Hi Steve. My thoughts are prayers are with you today. May the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace and let light perpetual shine upon them.

Ross

My condolences

Steve:

I'm just shocked. I knew about Rhinnie's health problems from the board, but he always seemed to come through. I am deeply sorry for your loss.

Take care of yourself.
