Milnor!

We have 3 Milnors at the retirement community where I work, except they are much bigger, they work great!

Pair a few of those Milnor washers with a Bock or other extractor and you can process huge loads of laundry all day long rather efficiently.

Amazing Machinery

I've used Milnor in Coin Op, and The Yacht Club. The quality of the machines are outstanding.

If I owned my own home again, I would not hesitate to search for the proper hard mount machine and have the ultimate laundry. The 35 lb seems to hit domestic application perfectly.

We all yearn to wash those King Comforters and large items.

After buying the Uber Miele 4842 and spending ALOT of money, I can say I am extremely disappointed in the capacity of the machine. All I want to see is water in the window not hearing "vapor" and damp clothes rolling around that cylinder.

Have seen those units selling as NOS still crated for <$800 and always step back and think of your posts Toploader. Your woes with that machine make me pause and then put the AMEX away. *LOL*

Speaking of hard mount commercial front loaders in domestic settings....

There was this gem of a NOS Philco-Bendix never installed, brand new, never uncrated, etc.. nabbed by a member.

Philco Bendix

Those Double Load machines were at the "SpeedWash' in Buzzard's Bay Mass.

Loved those machines. Lots of water in the wash and 3 rinses. And the wind up "whine" to final extraction.

As I recall, never had a disappointing wash from one of these. Especially Beach Towels. No Sand or grit ever.

I would say there were 20 Philco Bendix Double Loaders machines (10 back to back). Then 20 Speed Queens (10 back to back.)

Then Way back were 4 Big Boys. Talk about Banging Solenoids.

Dryers were Hoyt "Loadtrol" Or Huebch VariSpeed.

In 1962-1963...

SpeedQueen TLs were 25 cents.

Philco Bendix Doubles were 35 cents.

Big Boys were a whopping 1.00. Yup 4 quarters.

And Dryers were a dime for 10 minutes. With the Loadtrol (Speed adjustment for the RPM on the drums of the dryers) you could dry 3 double loads for 30 cents.
