while browsing Google images i came across this - an Antonio Merloni Hoover, this surprised me as i never knew they made machines for hoover, any hoover experts know about these machines and how they came to be?
There's at last two of them - WA420 and WD1100 both the same machine except WD1100 has an extra dial as its a Washer Dryer

Exactly Rohinic, Thats why I wrote Non EU, UK & AUS Markets. Meaning Not made for those markets. They all ready have Hoover made products. It was the smaller markets that took the branded antonio merloni. IE Lebanon

Whirlpool

No, Whirlpol washer dryers from the Aqualine series and the ''6th sense'' models from the early 2000s were made by A.M. That model was available in the UK, they crop up every now and then.

Fridges

They certainly did, in fact Zanussi manufactured Hoover refrigeration products right from when they were launched in the mid 1960s. I don't know exactly when Hoover dropped refrigeration products, they were certainly included in the 1983 product line up.

The first Hoover dishwashers, AutoJet and SuperJet were also manufactured by Zanussi

They were lousy machines from a wash performance point of view because of the way the lifters/drum baffles worked. The clothes tended to just bounce up and down in the water instead of washing unless the machine was very heavily loaded.
