I knew of someone that had a Tappan Greenbrier years ago. It was a double oven with a grill in the middle though. Had the same top burners with the center simmer caps. I wished they still had those burners in todays stoves.
The neighborhood this is in was built in the 50's, a lot of the houses still have original features like this, though they are disappearing fast, people seem to want to "update" the little bungalows. Didn't we just see a picture of this range in the past few days?
DAVEY7: regarding, "didn't we just see a picture of this range in the past few days?"
Not to criticize the software running this web site, as it would be an upgraded feature, but it would be nice that any duplicate linking within and across threads in all sections, would offer an alert, that brings up previously threads referring to the same link /photo. I wouldn't post it if this is old news. It would also be really nice if the software running this site would offer a link to the previously posted thread and if still open, give a member a chance to comment or read about it, and avoid duplicative info. Just sayin'.
We used to go to Chicago, when we lived in Michigan - great town, great food, love Lake Michigan, and watched it grow up since 1967. We laughed at the name, Skokie, til we saw the homes. Not laughing anymore. Evanston is another beautiful area, clearly in another galaxie of affordability for us...but so nice to drive through.
