ROCKS! Is anybody else enjoying this new series as much as we are? Showtime has created more appointment TV for us this season. We were already watching "Weeds." Sharp contrast to when HBO had everything we liked to watch.

I LOVE IT!

LOVED - United States of Tara & Diary of a Call Girl (I think that is the name - Watched it after Tara)

PS...

I realize that it isn't a Showtime original, BUT

CAN'T WAIT for MAD MEN to return to AMC!

AM also currently enjoying Rescue Me on FX - LOVE IT...

Me too!

Nurse Jackie is amazing, I was not expecting this much of a potboiler from a 30min show. NICE

Can't wait for Mad Men to return, and did anyone watch Damages? I think that was the most amazing TV in forever.

Damages

Never got into it - Mostly because of timing. Heard it was amazing from many people...

Have not seen or heard much about "Damages." I'll have to check it out. Also we completely lost track of "Mad Men" last season. We'll have to Netflix it to catch up.

Meanwhile, "Weeds" is a staple and the great writing never ceases to amaze and delight us. What a fun show that is!

For now, the spotlight is on Ms. Falco. I'm loving her new character. Nice change from the suppressed/oppressed Carmella Soprano. Jackie couldn't be a better vehicle for a starring role. I'm really happy for her.

I just watched the new

episode of HawthoRNe on TNT. This chief nurse project a far better image of nursing profession than Nurse Jackie.

Hawthorne?

I watched it and all I can say is what a mess. What is her job description- all round hospital floater? She's everywhere doing everything. I found the show very irritating. I'd have fired that nurses ass so fast after he knowingly gave an overdose to a patient he wouldn't have a change to get a "but..." out. The daughter is a brat in training, and the whole stupid plot with the ashes is pointless. If it's that important to each of them split the ashes. Bleh.

I'll let my DVR grab a few more episodes and give it a chance or two, I know many shows get major rewrites after the pilot, I certainly hope this one does.

i saw the first episode of nurse jackie online i liked it i missed edie since i was in love with her as carmela soprano this role was amazing i dig her! just wish we had showtime again we cancelled it they have only one episode online they keep saying that they have them all but showtime is slow with uploading more episodes same as the tracey ullman show and united states of tara really great show!

True MattL,

The story line needs to be change, and be more realistic. This male nurse should have ceertainly gone up the chain of command before giving his patient the wrong dose of insulin. But we live in the real world and things like this happen. And I bet you things like this go on all the time and doesn't get reported, especially if its the physician's error. I know these shows are fiction, but you have to say Christna is a little better than Nurse Jackie. And talking about firing someone; A nurse who forgeries a patient signature on a donor card!, Has sex with a hospital pharmacist to get her pain meds, come on now

Jackie is Showtime and that is what I expect from them, edgy. The stuff Jackie does isn't life threatening to a patient, she seems to have her drug use under control in terms of functioning. They are making no bones about her being an addict, the pill down the drain tonight made that clear.

I know it's no more real life than the Soprano's was, but it's fun to watch.

MattL, I will eat my words

for sure. I watched the second episode of HawthoRNe Tuesday and was so disappointed. I thought I was watching a sort of true to life TV show about nursing. WRONG, when I see this supposedly educated, professional nurse grab a defibrillator out of a doctor's hand and start shocking a patient, not once, but several times, that ended it for me. In real life, she would have been fired, lost her nursing license, and possible prosecuted. My apology for not listening to you and realizing that this was only a show aiming for high ratings. I guess after being a nurse for over 24 years, I was expecting something more. I think I'll stop watching this trash and go back to watching my Titan DVDs.

John, it's no contest. Titan DVD's are by far more entertaining than anything you can find on the tube, including pay-per-view. We have a lot of stuff from Titan in our queue on nym media.com
