Three major newspapers (Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune and Washington Post) all endorsed Barack Obama today:

Also today, the Supreme Court put a stop to Republican attempts to throw the election in Ohio.

A very, very good day for Obama, and our country.

Sarah Palin is the best thing that ever happened... for the Obama campaign!

Lets hope this means America sees her as the lying whore that she is! All the McCain/GOP nuts hating on Obama have John McCain to thank for the choice of running-mate that sealed the fate of his campaign.

I agree

I don't really have a HUGE gripe with McCain (especially the sensible guy we used to know) BUT Palin is a joke and should be treated as such. Obama '08 all the way.

And this one too.

I LOVE Sarah Palin, and am so glad that Karl Rove picked her as Mcsames running mate.

Mcsame-Failin 08 YAY!!

This is what the Republican Party has been reduced to. Just pathetic:

"It must be true, I saw it on Fux News"

Acorn likely is a victim of it's own workers:

Thousands face mix-ups in registration information:

Florida governor Charles Crist (R) discounts the depth of the story:

Most troubling are threats of violence against ACORN employees - mostly minorities - and the scare tactics being used to lower voter turnout. These pigs will stop at nothing to win and their cult-like followers gleefully recite the bullshit without bothering to research or READ which in itself is an attempt to use fear to keep voters away from the polls. It's going to get worse, racism hasn't reared it's ugly head in public yet, but it's there waiting in the wings until it's needed as a last ditch effort. A sad and pathetic narrative on a country that is supposed to be free.

Its hardly acorns fault that McCain associates with the dreadful Bush Admin or that McCain insulted our citizens when selecting Palin. No scapegoating allowed!

But on a positive note Obama signs are everywhere here in South Minneapolis. Every block has Obama signs and I've never ONCE seen a McCain lawn sign anywhere in the city!!! I love this, I snapped this picture today within a few blocks of me...

Today we can add Colin Powell to the list of Obama endorsers.

If historians want an accurate summary of why John McCain lost this election, the following will serve nicely:

I thought Colin Powell stated his reasons for supporting Obmama/Biden extremely well. One would hope that the GOP might do a little self-examination after hearing these words from one of their own with exceptional popularity and respect.

Awesome Video Greg!
Thanks for posting!

Robert,
Love the signs in your neighborhood! That is amazing!

I was in Minneapolis this past weekend and was relieved to see many Obama/Biden signs in front yards. Out here in rural, southwestern Minnesota there are 20 McCain signs for every one Obama. This is a brutally Republican area of the state.

I spent much of the day watching the Fox News Network and there was very little discussion of Colin Powell's announcement. Lots of talk about Joe The Plumber, who was a guest on Mike Huckabee's show---which is dreadfully dull, by the way.

The more I watch Fox---and I've been watching it a lot, lately---the more I'm dumbstruck their slogan is 'Fair & Balanced'. They're nothing more than a mouthpiece for the Republican party. It's so blatant it's almost comical.

What's amazing is the number of people who aren't familiar with Roger Ailes, and why Fox News was put on the air.

They pawn themselves off as a "conservative" alternative to "liberal bias", when in fact it's nothing but a horribly narrow mouthpiece for an incredibly tiny handful of neoconservatives within the Republican Party. They're single-handedly responsible for discrediting true conservatism and bringing down the entire party.

Yard Signs . . .

I see signs for both Obama and McCain around here, but without question there are more for Obama. This holds true even in expensive neighborhoods where you can't buy a house (even today) for less $1,000,000; it seems like even the wealthy have deserted McCain. I'd suspect his choice of Palin has something to do with that - wealthy people aren't always smart, but they're rarely dumb and it's painfully evident that Palin isn't ready to be a vice president, much less president.

There is one house nearby which presents a fair and balanced opinion: there are both Obama and McCain signs in the yard!
