I’m not entirely sure how it installs as there must be some sort of wear mechanism, as mine is very close to where the black spring there would have originally hooked onto, that is part of a mechanism that helps keep the lid securely latched/pushed against the removable ring I kinda always thought it was a governor thing where once the extractor reaches a certain speed So for example past 300 rpm the lid would physically lock from the extractor spinning
