An oscillating ironer, that is one I have never heard of for sure.  It does look to be in really nice condition and the price is right!!

FOB - Free (or freight) Onboard Shipping. Seller is pretty much indicating that they are requiring that the buyer cover all the shipping costs. I used to hear this all the time in an old position I had where we as an industrial supplier were shipping items from many vendors to customers, but I haven't heard many private parties use the term.

That Ironer Has Been Sat Sitting

On fleaPay for ages. Surprised it hasn't be sent to the scrap yard. *LOL*

Even at $9.99 the seller cannot apparently shift the thing.

My standard advice applies, unless there is something *very* unique and or such about an ironer they are rarely worth shipping great distances. For instance that Bendix model is still sitting in New Jersey listed on eBay, and is not only of more recent vintage but is in better condition and has lots of extras as well.

Far easier to move something so large and heavy as an ironer from say NJ to Boston than CA.

yet I knew the Altorfer Brothers personally and they gave me several washing machines so I'd like to have the Ironer they built. Shipping something like that across the country is crazy but it would be good for the "Museum" and washer history.

I have see one of those things before (well similar) in a charity shop that I worked in. We couldn't sell it as it failed the PAT test so to the tip it went

test? Do you slap the appliance to see if anything falls off?
