I really like that color. It does look a little bright there, but with a matching kitchen, it would look really nice. I have always liked either that red, or a nice blue with chrome on appliances.

i dont know much about electric stoves, but dont those burners looks esp fresh and newish? thats a very pretty, yet slightly brassy stove.

And a great stove to boot. We had a '74 Compact 30 drop in range in brushed chrome in our kitchen for a long time. Heavy, sturdy and the oven baked beautifully.

Frigidaire Poppy

My brother-in-law and his wife had all Frigidaire Poppy in their first home built either 1974 or 1975. Stove just like this one, the refridgerator, dishwasher and in utility ahd the poppy 1-18 and dryer was really cool loking but all dark cabinets, floor ect. Their kitchen sink was even poppy red or red. I know somewhere we have pics will try to junt up this weekend and post. We always had white applicances as we moved every two to three years due to my work in the 70's through mid 90's. Have been here for 10 years this month so longest we have had the same home.

Love Frigidaire poppy! Refrigerator looks like a 170(17 cubic foot)Missing the meat drawer that sits below the top shelf.
Too bad the stove's not a Touch-N-Cook.I wonder what the reserve is?

Doesn't the timing seem right with all the retro stuff being in fashion that an appliance maker would offer some shade of red as a color option? I sure wish this color would turn up more often.

I saw this show last night where the two Junk Brothers turned a GE range into a barbeque and guess what, It's almost Poppy! Anybody here try to make a range like that?
