Ohhh! Look At This Vintage Miele

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Nice machines they are - though they are far from vintage. They are still produced today under the "Little Giant" range :-).

That price is just crazy though... if only I had the extra space!

Not so vintage

These machines are actually not that old. When I was in uni accomodation three years ago it was this machine we had in the laundry. Not good machines. Very low water levels wash cycles far too short in general nothing to write home about. The only benefit was the spin cycle used to spin water out of the clothes that I did not think was possible

these machnes are not that old when I was in uni accomodation three years ago we had these amchines. Bad machines, very low water levels wash programmes were far too short with no extendable options. Only bonus was the spin speed don't know exactly what it was but the clothes were unbeleivably dry. Another problem was the lack of options. only delicates 30 no cottons 30, or easy care 30? no good to man nor beast!!!

The water levels on these machines could be changed, but I think that had to be done by a Miele service technician. They do indeed don't have a lot of programmes and options, but that is more often the case with commercial machines. Most Electrolux commercial machines have 4 programmes, so the 6 or 7 on these machines are quite a luxury!

Peter, the 6kg 19something models were indeed based on these series.

Here is a link to the spec sheet for this washer.

Apparently this particular model was also sold in Canada, and runs on 60hz/208v power, though requires 2 30amp outlet. Has a 5.3 kW heater with a total electrical load of 5.5kW and holds 13lbs of laundry.

As for the blue box on the front, it seems to have a CEE or CE on the front. CE/CEE is an electrical saftey rating/approval symbol similar to UL. Perhaps it is some sort of transformer?
