I've just seen this refrigerator advertised on Kijiji. Because of the asking price, I didn't feel like posting it in Shopper's square but I'm curious! I have seen similar Servel refrigerators that used propane in camps when I was a kid but that oil-fired thing? I have never seen!

Sorry, the ad is in French but there are pictures...

Great Grandmother had one from the 40's that ran on natural gas. They could never get it quite right with propane when they switched to propane in the late 60's. It was probably hovering somewhere in the mid 50's while on propane, not cold enough to keep fresh food, but made a great dry pantry.

The oil burning

ones were ok, but smelly!! about like a kerosene cookstove, lots of them in the very rural areas, or at least used to be...shewweee...not for me!

A friend of mine has a newer Servel that uses Kerosene. I have also seen them use propane or natural gas. This is a 1930's model. It's cute, but $2,000 no way. There's a very limited market for antique fridges, especially non-electric.
