I am the proud owner of a gently-used Coronado wringer washer from the early '70s that has been in storage for over 30 years and has a strange oil leak.....
My uncle bought it brand new but put it into storage when he decided he preferred to wash his duds in the kitchen sink instead! Also, even though he used it only a few times he noticed the leak and stopped using it.
The oil pan underneath is full of icky stuff that has dripped out of the thingy - on the left side of the oil pan you can see where it was attached with a single wing nut to the part above it and also there is a round imprint on the right side of the pan corresponding to the round thing above it.
What kind of oil is this? Where is this oil coming from??? Can I still use the machine??? Do I need to put more oil in it somewhere???
I really REALLY want to use this machine - it is in LIKE NEW condition and would be perfect at the cabin. I plugged it in and it whirrrrrs to life beautifully but the oil spill worries me and I don't want something to seize up....
I am wondering if anyone has any advice on this?
Also can someone direct me to a diagram where I can learn the correct names of the parts of a wringer washer???
