The timer went out on my maytag a112 (wouldn't advance). I bought a 206686 online but it isn't advancing properly. Apparently my washer had a Mallory timer and I replaced it with a Kingston. From what I have found out they are supposed to be interchangeable. Any ideas????

It's the correct part number. Was there any literature that came with the timer? Sometimes (and I don't fknow or certain in this case) a different manufacturer's timer will will require you to add or remove a jumper to use on certain machines. This timer was also used on the A412. You may already have this schematic, but if not maybe you can trace out what the problem might be.

I have the schematic but it's really hard to read,it's pretty old. I will look at this one and see if I can figure anything out. No literature came with the timer.

Thank you!
