Anyone know who made this for Amana, or was this their own?  A friend of mine had one in a house he bought, I did some trim repair and detailing on it, seemed like a well-built range.

I was about to say it was not Maytag. John told me that Caloric got hold of old Philco range designs, through some deal I have forgotten, when Philco sort of fell apart. Caloric/Ratheon/Amana produced electric ranges kinda sorta built on the Philco platform. Nothing Maytag built was as nice as this family of ranges.

Someone posted some photos of one of these that was from the late 80s and had halogen burners and a digital timer.
