old Tide ad with AMC (department store brand) washers

Don't think I've seen this one before. From the Duke University archive

Glad we got a peek into the AMC. It looks identical to machines branded Wizard and Coronado. The Coronado brand was sold at Gamble’s Hardware stores, one of which was in my hometown. They make some wonderful snorting-type noises and thus have been called “the pig” around AW.

Ah, when Tide still smelled like Tide!
