Anybody interested in boxes of old washer and dryer timers? Cleaning out the cellar, and I'm tempted to just trash all the old timers (saving the Blackstone ones, of course). I don't know if it would even be worth the shipping costs, but I just thought I would post this message anyway. Besides, with the hot and humid weather, it's the right time to work in the cellar. Fred.

I have about 60 timers, from washers and dryers, total weight is 60 lbs. Timers are from 1980s and 1990s. Many have brand name written on them. Some have problems. They've been in the cellar, sitting in boxes, so they are not really clean. They might be good, they might not be. Kind of like a mystery grab bag.

I estimated cross-country shipping. By UPS, $62. By post office, $46. However, if the size of the box becomes too large, the post office rate jumps to $127. Little disparity in the rates there, I think.

So, unless someone is passing through Springfield, Mass., I guess these timers will be going into the scrap pile in the next few days.
